Teams puts one roster, one domain and one bill around the same encrypted product. Dedicated runs it on hardware that holds nobody else’s mail.
Plus is bought with cryptocurrency. You get an invoice with an amount and an address, the payment settles on the chain, and that is the whole of it — there is no card number, no billing address and no payment processor holding a file on you. A mailbox that exists so that nobody can read your mail should not start by asking who your bank is.

No. The same key sits on your device, the same end‑to‑end encryption covers mail, chat and calls, the same two‑step verification and recovery key are available. Plus buys room, addresses and a few conveniences — it does not buy secrecy, because secrecy is not ours to sell back to you.
In cryptocurrency — Bitcoin or Monero. You get an invoice with an amount and an address, and the subscription starts when the payment settles. There is no card form, no billing address, and no payment company that ends up knowing where you keep your money and where you keep your mail.
The account goes back to the free limits and keeps everything in it. Mail already in the mailbox stays readable, Drive files stay where they are, and the only difference is what you can add next: the free sizes apply again. If you are over the free storage, nothing is deleted — new uploads wait until you buy another period or free some room.
Yes, on Plus. Connect a domain you hold, publish the records the setup screen gives you, and up to ten addresses on it deliver into your mailbox. You can also register a new domain for it. The domain stays yours — we are where its mail lands, not who owns it.
Plus can export the whole mailbox as a single encrypted archive, built on your device and locked with a passphrase that never reaches us. Any account can download an individual message. Nothing here is designed to make leaving difficult.
No, on either plan. An address, a password and a passphrase for your key are the whole sign‑up. The recovery address is optional, and it exists so that you can get back in — not so that we learn who you are.
